Every field, every farm, every stream has a part to play in reducing flooding, water conservation and erosion control

Adaption to Climate Change

Development of the knowledge base

TRIPLE C aims to further develop the knowledge base regarding water retention and soil erosion solutions in the 2Seas area. Different types of organisations with complementary expertise and experience at different levels of governance will work together for the first time to achieve this. All partners will be engaged to identify and make inventories of best practices in water retention and soil erosion control measures with stakeholders in their catchment areas.

Partners will use landowner questionnaires, desk research and literature reviews to identify best practices. To generate the best-practice inventories Triple C partners will intensively cooperate with stakeholders and landowners in their catchments. The inventories are aimed to gain best value for money in flood risk management under different climate change scenarios, and will form a joint transnational 'menucard' for practitioners in other catchments (improved knowledge base). Based on the inventories partners will identify prioritised zones in the catchments for future interventions and investments.
